I had to put in a claim to have my windshield replaced and start they have Car Glass Experience come up out and they take the wrong windshield. That is another complaint near a horrible company that you cannot attain. So I had Safelite tech comes out with a windshield and subsequently reviewing my VIN, tells me he has the wrong windshield and and then had to reschedule my appointment and wanted me to await another calendar week and I insisted they come out the adjacent day and they were not to pleased. Then the next day the tech comes dorsum and does the work and meanwhile I was not enlightened that they had taken photos previously and claim my window had boosted issues and they did not do it.
I phoned them and had to go to the store and I had to contend with them about the issue and that the window was not like that and they claim the tech did not exercise any damage and I told them I would escalate this and go to a higher place and the claimed I was threatening them and would call the police. In the meantime they glued the area on the drivers side of the windshield and ordered the clips. My insurance paid them to do a job. If they do not pay for the clips, then I will file a complaint with BBB.

I am securely disappointed with their predatory insurance claim pricing policy. Prior to filing an insurance claim for a windshield replacement, I received a Safelite OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) windshield quote for $320 plus taxes and additional fees. Even so, I went through their insurance comprehensive merits process and paid my $500 deductible for an OEM (Original Manufacturer Equipment) windshield. But, was told by the local Safelite associate the day after the installation, that considering the OEM windshield was non in stock the OEE windshield was installed and the $500 deductible was nevertheless assessed, as well equally an additional $304 bill to my insurance.
I called Safelite'southward Las Vegas local office to inquire for clarification on why I am required to pay more for an OEE product going through my insurance, and was told that information technology is their existing agreement with the insurance company. The Safelite associate told me in that location was nothing that could be done and I'm liable to pay my deductible regardless of the windshield that is installed. I requested to speak with my insurance company to ensure they are aware of the practise and we completed a three way call to confirm the policy. The insurance representative recommended we withdraw the insurance claim and go with the cash payment option. When the cash payment option was provided the $500 deductible was refunded and a cash payment of $449 was assessed to me directly.
If Safelite was transparent in their windshield replacement pricing, prior to installation, I would not have chosen to pay $449 for an OEE windshield that was originally quoted at $320, plus taxes/fees. In addition, in the pick process when completing a windshield replacement with an insurance claim the consumer is non allowed to strictly select the OEM preference. Consumers are immune to pay their deductible without any refund pick with Safelite, fifty-fifty if the OEE option is less expensive than the the consumer'south deductible, while also charging the insurance company additional fees. This is highly disingenuous, predatory, and misleading to consumers who seek a quality product from what is marketed as a reputable and honest company.
Consumers should be aware of the predatory insurance merits policy and ensure that Safelite is not overcharging them or their insurance for an inferior production. It is disappointing that Lexus of Las Vegas recommended their services without understanding the predatory pricing policies practiced. Stay away and shop around for other windshield replacement options. Attached are an invoice copy with inflated prices assessed to my insurance and myself, and a re-create of the original quote for an OEE windshield replacement.

I had to have my auto to Safelite 3x's and they still didn't get it right. Finally, I had to request a refund then that I tin can take my automobile to another place and have the windshield properly installed. Safelite's mgr said that he received approval for a refund, merely ii weeks later on I had to follow up because I never received any confirmation. Every time I called and went down to the location they had a different reason. I am so frustrated and through with this type of service. Where a company merely doesn't care how they care for a customer take they've delivered bad service. All they care about is their bottom line profits.

May vii,2021 I take made an appointment with Safelite Autoglass Service and upon reserving an appointment I have paid online $533.fourteen right abroad. Work lodge number: **. Scheduled on Monday (May 10, 2022 12 noon to 5pm). The day of schedule comes, I have received couple of emails and texts confirming the appointment. And I have contacted Safelite thru the telephone (I was held for 45 minutes. No one answered) and talked to their conversation reps twice Michael and Amanda they can't assist. All they're proverb is at that place is naught more they tin do except confirming the engagement and that there is no special note whatsoever.
That day (Monday 05.10.2021 five:45pm) I have cancelled the engagement and chosen my financial institution to file a dispute for their charge. 7:15pm aforementioned mean solar day their Tech called that he is coming. I fabricated an appointment online to accept my windshield repaired. Between 0800-1200 was the window for them to be at my home, My credit card was charged for the repair and the extra fee for mobile repair. I waited all forenoon for the tech to arrive and he never did. Finally, at 3 pm I called the but number I could find online. He found my repair order with no problem. He put me on hold for about 15 mins. He came back and told me that the local dealer would exist calling me to become a tech out this evening. The local telephone call came and I was told in that location was no i in my area for a repair today and I had to reschedule.
I explained that I needed it repaired today. I was told that that was incommunicable considering the TECH was in my area already today. According to the local company, they never got the work gild until right after corporate called them. Even though I had an confirmation number, scheduled timeframe and the TECH'southward beginning name! I tried to leave a review on the Safelite website but I could non find a fashion to do so. Makes me wonder how Safelite maintains such a high review rating on their website, but on this site it's a whole point lower. VERY BAD SERVICE! AND I still need my window repaired!!!

I ain a 2022 GNC, ACADIA. My windshield has taken much abuse earlier a rock roughshod off the sand truck and croaky it. I waited three years to replace information technology and was recommended by my trusted mechanic to apply Safelite AutoGlass service. I made an "online appointment" with few questions in regard to my windshield HUD (a specialty I had no clue about). Six days afterward I collection to Sunland CA, and had the window replaced. After x days of a road trip, I decided to wash my dirty machine and lifted windshield wipers. The right wiper became caught in the towel, came apart, and smacked the right corner of the window, and cracked it.
When I returned to the company the following twenty-four hours to challenge the quality of the drinking glass, I was told that my windshield was an aftermarket product from reputable manufacturer. Indeed, I was under the 'impression' that I was purchasing OEM. Their web did not land that OEM was bachelor for purchase, nor their employees accept explained that this option is available. After speaking to a salesperson, then an banana manager, they proclaimed that information technology'due south not their trouble that I was not well informed. Also, the salesperson claimed that the OEM HUD windshield replacement would cost me $1800, an expense I would be willing to endure for a quality production. I am planning to challenge this purchase with the corporate department. A national company such as Safelite should be aback to practice such fraud. Pocket-size claims courtroom is next! No unsuspecting 'fiddling 'customer should be abused this style! Beware!

I had a 10:30am appointment that was made 2 weeks ago at Safelite-Austin on Howard Road location to supercede and calibrate the front end windshield of my Cadillac XTS on 03/16/2021. The weather condition was overcast and the route a little clammy. Later a 45 minute drive with traffic, I'm at present pulling into their parking lot of Safelite. I get a telephone call from their office 512.634.2904 to tell me that the roads are clammy, and have to reschedule. What? Hello, I saw the conditions last night said pelting on the forecast, and you lot're telling me as I'm pulling into the parking lot, drove 45 min and cleared my piece of work schedule to get this done, as it cannot pass state inspection with a cracked windshield, and you don't want to supersede the windshield today? I spoke to the tech and he said it could take all mean solar day, fine I volition stay until it gets done, and then the Manager said it won't be done today. Now I'm dislocated?
Tech said all 24-hour interval, Manager said they are Not replacing it today. They know I was upset, however they did NOTHING to help me or attempted to assist me and getting my vehicle back in the following day or later in the afternoon. The only response as I'm leaving is "HAVE A Overnice DAY" That's a boot in the gut response... My boy Ryan at Covert Cadillac Saved the day and referred me to a awesome drinking glass guy... The windshield has the noticeable ripples on the passenger side even with the OEM (as they said and there's Toyota written on information technology), nevertheless, bit amend than the Chinese one they installed earlier and I am not interested in torturing my car past replacing the drinking glass on and on and until I really feel for it, I'll just exit it as it is right now! One thing I forgot to mention that the employees I talked to (along with the technicians) were squeamish only I really practise recall that they need to fix this issue with inexpensive disputed glasses. 2 stars for them only.

I noticed couple of cracks on my windshield so I claimed the insurance and Geico patched me up with them and starting time fourth dimension they replaced with the aftermarket glass. That had terrible amount of ripples and distortion so upon calling them back and demanding the OEM glass, they worked out with Geico and replaced the windshield again with the OEM and that has more than ripples and distortion than the previous cheap Chinese ones they installed earlier.
I am so frustrated at this point because it's affecting my driving experience and continue claiming the lifetime warranty is non the solution. Unless you know their straight location number, you lot are out of luck, the telephone bot volition tell y'all to get to their website and so hang up! Are they carrying fake/disputed OEM glasses? I don't know, xc% possibility simply I will never recommend Safelite to anyone. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews provided here otherwise I would never have tried to accept the small rock fleck repaired. After my failed flake repair I was told that machines practise the repair of rock chips now, not humans and information technology is with pressure level forced sealing of the flake. At that place are also heat and cold issues that can contribute to failures amidst other things. My repair was done in September in Southern Texas during hot weather. Although at a glance y'all see their workmanship guarantee and experience comfortable only after reading all the gibberish, in layman terms the guarantee but offers you a credit of what has been paid toward a new windshield, NO WONDER THERE ARE Then MANY FAILED scrap repairs!

Zero stars, if possible. I purchased a repair of a tiny (2 mm at about) chip in my windshield. Before agreeing to the repair I was Not given in verbal or written form any data about the fact that the repair may cause the crack to open further and require a new windshield. If I knew this damage could happen, I would have never agreed to the repair. Inside a week of the work, my chip had transformed into a larger crack requiring a new windshield, which is not possible with authentic parts in my instance. Once more, I would have never agreed to the repair had I known in advance this could happen.
I notified my credit card (the one I used to pay), who notified Safelite about my complaint. Through my credit card, Safelite returned my money to me. However, Safelite and then sent me a threatening letter of the alphabet stating they would send my information to a collection agency. Since and so, I have received harassing telephone calls to a telephone number I gave Safelite so they could text me information about the work in progress, not sell or requite to another party or visitor, which they did against my consent. All this and I'grand on the practise-non-call registry. And so, basically, if y'all want shoddy word and harassment afterwards you mutter, and so Safelite is the business organisation for you.

I went in for a simple windshield replacement. They said it would exist washed in an hour and half; it took them five hours to replace my windshield. They said they found rust and "fixed" it only they never called me. Last fourth dimension I checked anytime piece of work needs to exist done that information technology is non on the work order requires customer blessing; they never got my approval. I picked up my truck and later that twenty-four hours role of my cowl fell out at which point I found several screws missing and laying out not installed. Later on replacing my cowl myself I noticed that one of the mounting tabs for the windshield was missing.
Upon further inspection past another drinking glass shop (not Safelite) they said the gap between my roof and top of my windshield was excessive. I accept contacted Safelite several times and rather than pay for some other store to get my drinking glass replaced properly they want me to sign a release of liability form that is actually partially illegal. I had a cleaved windshield and need the replacement. I called Safelite for an engagement. It recommended me to make an appointment using its website. After the engagement, a technician came to my business firm and found that he brought the wrong type of windshield. He then changed the appointment to the next day. A unlike technician brought a new windshield the next day, after he cut my windshield into several pieces, he establish that the new windshield still did non fit. He and then glued the sometime windshield back to my automobile, and said that he will have to order the correct windshield once more. I was scared to death when I drove my glued-back and cut into several pieces windshield to work.
I am glad that my windshield was finally fixed. My friends recommended me to write a review for my experience then hopefully other customers volition be able to avoid the aforementioned experiences I just had. Therefore, my recommendation is that the company should use the vehicle'south VIN number to notice the correct windshield instead of the make and yr.

Earlier I get started with the issue, I would like to say that the two technicians Daniel on twenty-four hour period one and Isaac on 24-hour interval two were wonderful when it came to being professional and courteous. And so now to the issue at mitt; I took my 2022 Acura MDX in to have the windshield replaced. Non happy with the overall feel. I had to have two different appointments that I did not brand a fuss over but now I demand a third appointment...not happy.
At the first date they put in an aftermarket glass and the recalibration did not piece of work so they had to order a dealer glass. No communication until I showed dorsum upwardly at closing time. I was the 2nd person to show upwardly at 0730 and my car was yet sitting there when my married man picked me up at 0945. I was told the recalibration took 4 hours. They tried to make me think I bought a lemon considering it was expressed that due to the way the cameras sat in the vehicle (like incorrect) they had problems that happen but non oftentimes. It was an Acura defect was how it was told to me. So, I had to sign a newspaper to drive off with functions not working and unavailable until I returned.
Now on twenty-four hour period ii, I arrived at 10AM and was out by 1:xxx with glass replaced and recalibration (that was fast). After driving a while, I noticed the idle finish office was still unavailable. I waited till my husband came home and he went over all the settings and determined for whatever reason that part nevertheless wasn't bachelor. So, I called Safelite through my insurance and was given the runaround for hours. I really spoke to numerous people. By the 5th phone call, I determined they accept monopolized the industry and it isn't off-white. I can't plough left or right without having to deal with Safelite directly instead my insurance company and the dealership. The only fashion I can become to the dealership is to get back to Safelite (who I don't trust at this point) and let them check the vehicle over.
The manager at Rancho was too much (nice, rude and disrespectful)...get effigy. I told him I was going to telephone call the dealership to enquire questions as to reasons one of the functions on the vehicle was non bachelor anymore. The manager asked that I non do that considering the dealership is going to hear Safelite and already assume something wrong was done. I am non comfortable going back to the Rancho Cucamonga location for multiple reasons and one beingness the fact that when the director mentioned information technology could be a flip of the switch and perhaps it got broken just they volition accept intendance of information technology...no thank you. My car is a 2022, I am the first owner and bought the vehicle approximately 2 months ago with less than 10 miles on it. This is a huge gimmick!!! The tech will come and state and I quote "the crack may however prove but it will be much less noticeable." I tin can deal with that verses the crack getting worse in time and less cosmetic bug is okay. I paid $167 for one fiddling non even a pencil head size chip and and 1 and 1/2 inch crack to be filled. The pencil size 1 had improvement even though there are small-scale hairline cracks effectually it now but the other looks like he didn't do anything. And then what the gimmick is is you lot are not satisfied with the issue they will that the price of the repair off of a NEW WINDSHIELD. If the tech and or the wording in the advertisement has stated...by performing this process the cosmetic visualization volition likely not alter in appearance at all, I would for $167 idea twice about getting this done and simply got the windshield replaced once the fissure got to that betoken.
And so I called the repair tech back to see how this could be fixed and he said there was cipher he could exercise because the resin has already cured and again, if you are not happy you tin can e'er put the price of the repair towards a new windshield which is ultimately their goal. Please Practise Not WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED Coin ON THIS!!!!

Safelite claims that the auto defrost sensor on the windshield tested bad on a PRE scan. I was never told this and they went alee and used the bad sensor on the new windshield. I began having issues and went back only to be told that was my problem as the sensor was bad on the old windshield. I was never told this was bad. This is my 2nd unhappy experience with Safelite. A storm blew a sign into my windshield while I was at work. It was tardily so I reported the impairment to my insurance company via a partner service they employ. The next day, I didn't hear anything back so I contacted my local agent who told me to just set with Safelite myself. I called and was on hold through a phone tree until finally getting a message they are only making appts online due to Covid. Fine, I gear up upward an appt. for the following Monday (six days after). While setting it up, I used a promo code that was supposed to take $35 off the self-pay price. I asked them to bank check my insurance considering I thought I had $100 deductible on drinking glass. I got a confirmation message that had no toll listed but said they were waiting on my deductible.
Later, I received reminder emails and texts that that noted on the bottom that my deductible was $500 (I changed insurance companies and believed my lower glass deductible was included in new insurance but information technology turned out it wasn't). I was never given a price until the tech called at 8:30 AM the 24-hour interval of the appt. He said since my deductible was college than the actual cost, information technology would be cocky-pay rather than insurance claim. OK. I asked if the price was with the promo code. He said, "You tin can't use a promo code with an insurance claim." I was dislocated. This was not an insurance claim once they constitute my deductible was higher than actual price.
The tech came and replaced the windshield. I paid full price, figuring I could deal with the promo lawmaking outcome later on, non his mistake. It seems to exist fine. I installed new wipers last evening and drove information technology to the store, discovering my windshield washer didn't piece of work. Opened the hood to discover the line broken at the point it goes from engine compartment to under the hood. My van is besides total of glass, way more than when it initially broke. I went through the whole telephone tree thing once more, ended up with a recorded bulletin to electronic mail or text. I sent a text. Was told broken line was a warranty issue and set up another appt. I'm going on a trip in a few days. I'll take it to the Safelite shop. The guy at the counter told me twice it was probably just unplugged. No, it is clearly cleaved. He looked, went inside, brought out a rubber elbow and pushed the broken ends into it. Woot, the washer works! I'm good with that.
I went back to the text conversation and told them that issue was resolved only there was the promo code issue. Was told, again, "You lot can't use a promo code on an insurance claim." And I told them that information technology was not an insurance claim, it ended up beingness a self-pay. That Safelite removed the promo code and didn't reapply it once it became a self-pay. "Since the job is already completed and invoiced we aren't able to add together the promo now" Which I then said it was used prior to chore being scheduled and they removed it. "We are unable to employ the lawmaking to an insurance claim, promo codes can only be exist use for greenbacks claims only." And I paid cash! Then they said the claim was prepare up past my insurance visitor. Which it was not. My insurance company never even got the claim from their partner (roadside service and glass claims) once the partner learned my deductible was higher than bodily price.
So to sum it upward, the Safelite tech broken my washer line and I was overcharged. The get-go got a fix (hopefully it will concur up) and the 2d they don't care. I mentioned this was the second bad experience. The starting time they came to my house to repair ii chips in my windshield. These WERE insurance claims. Guy tells me he has self-pay on the order. I tell him my insurance visitor was on briefing call with with me while adding Safelite into the call to schedule the service. He argues. And then he looks at the chips and decides since information technology snowed that he can't exercise the repairs. He says they don't like information technology when the techs don't do what they came to practice. So he called the office and told them--while I am continuing in the driveway next to him--that I decline to allow him to perform the service because I don't want to self-pay. And he left.
I called the store and told them he lied. That I was standing correct adjacent to him when he called and that the issue was not my refusal to pay. The outcome was him telling me it was not no toll to me insurance claim but a self-pay. And that he apparently didn't desire to do the repair. Store guy tells me to bring the vehicle in, they have time to do the repair in the garage. So information technology got done and it was actually no cost to me. The repairs were not keen though. I've had fries repaired before that were barely visible, these were more obvious after repair. I volition not use Safelite once again and will be letting my insurance company and local amanuensis know about my experiences.

We used SafeLite to fill a fleck in our windshield. They ended upwards causing a crack during the repair, which required us to supervene upon the windshield instead of merely fill up the bit. Inside 24 hours of replacing the entire windshield, nosotros had a new crack. SafeLite insists that it was acquired by something striking the windshield and information technology was not their mistake. When I questioned the quality of their materials if their windshield can't final 24 hours, the manager told me "information technology happens all the time". They wouldn't stand past their work and wouldn't work with the states at all. We concluded up going elsewhere to accept the 2nd windshield replaced and had a much better feel. We'll never utilise SafeLite once again.
